In view of rapid development
of human settlements and environment in China, we brought forward
the Project of Improving China Human Settlements Environment
& Developing of New Towns in November 2003. The seven main
topics of this project are Human Settlements Environment Planning
& Construction, Life Quality of Residential Area, Green
Resources Utilization & Environmental Protection, Relevant
Tech-innovation & Upgrade, Inhabitancy Custom & Culture
Heritage, Transformation & Renovation of City Functions,
which systematically present the basic requirements and goals
for the constructions of Human Settlements Environment. This
project puts in practice the idea of Developing New Towns.
Golden Construction Pilot Project, which is specially
set for the large-scale residential construction among these
movements, is to study the relevant issues on developing new
Towns, to explore and learn the technological experiences
of human settlements environmental construction so as to promote
the healthy housing environment.
Currently two programs, Project of Improving
China Human Settlements Environment & Developing of New
Towns and Golden Construction Pilot Project has arisen great
attention all over the country.
